durchschnittliche Blütengröße?

Hello

in my Typhonium venosum is now a flower (the only reasonable this year)
The size of the flower just irritates me: it is currently 42 cm high and I think that they up to the bloom to just under 50 cm is growing.
Since I bought last year three tubers have buds bearing Typhonium me and the flowers were long not so great like this, I slowly was wondering whether this flowering size within the framework is.
Can you to say something?

Is peculiar also, that she tuber even shipping is schrumpelt because last year purchased tubers were all visibly shrunk.

With kind regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan

Out of sheer curiosity, I have measured two flowers in my garden.
Despite persistent rain (2 days), the first flowers opened up, it is 30 cm high and the bulb has a diameter of 5 cm.

The second is not up yet but is on the verge, which is a 9 cm tuber and the flower buds height is 40 cm.
The others are not ready. I've planted them all in pots.

Is the height of the flowers probably directly dependent on the size of the bulb?

Greeting Olvi

Hello

then, my is probably still normal.
My is still of the flourish far removed, I think at least it is now 45 cm high and is growing and growing...

I also think that the height of flowers from the tuber size is dependent on.

With kind regards
Stefan

Hello

mine had this year (so far only 2 flourished - but it at least 2 progress flowers)
The one was only 50 cm, the other 75 cm.

The tubers weighing 600 grams, I know not what diameter but they had.

I suspect that the maximum flowering size of Typhonium is venosum at 50-80 cm, where they were held to a low-light site.
This is Yes this confirmed that the most flowers in this area are, no matter how big are the tubers.

I've heard also of 90 cm flowers, but that's woh rather rare.

With kind regards
Stefan
