Hi Stefan,

Oh dear, this is really a shame to the plant. But anyone who collects Amorphophallus and co will have to live with losses. Dracontium amazonense is very robust in my view, my grow even if not always ideal conditions 10 months in the year. Also an occasional too much take one on water and fertilizer not evil, one could say the ideal plant for Lieschen Müller. : lach dead:

How should I understand this, you did that you don't exactly know what type you have, or did you mean the D. polyphyllum only a synonym of D. amazonense is?

Dracontium gigas

NEN seen old post -.
What do your Dracontium gigas?

Here are a few pictures of mine. Small nodules were and are still not a year for me. I love you :icon_blushnew:

Have different substrates, could however see no major differences. At room temperature and damp.

But I'm still not sure if this is really D. gigas; on really large specimens, the flower looks a bit different and is apparently also stemmed, so does not sit on the substrate; see:

Botanical destinations in Australia?

I have to cut open the flower once and then ask someone who is really familiar with Dracontium.
