A. atroviridis - "Knolle" abgebrochen - was tun?

I have the following problem: recently, I could not resist and bought in Thailand via iibääh 5 tubers of A. atroviridis.
Unfortunately one of the 5 tubers is canceled (bulb seems to so uncomfortable me, because the are so elongated) transport in the middle. The tuber was about 10 cm long, which part has now approx 6 cm, the lower course of 4 cm top. The abscission layer is completely dry, the bulb had formed a CA 2 cm long shoot but no roots already on arrival.
Can I somehow save the tuber, and if so, how? And: a plant can arise from the lower fragment - real treatment - again?

The crack of driving out the piece is really dry, you can actually pot there without hesitation in slightly damp substrate. With the small piece I can not help further unfortunately also you. and thanks for the reply! The fracture was always dry, very dry even, the (white) Interior of the Corm was also really hard.
I've had about 1 hour long parts of the tuber in fairly moist substrate, because the crack was soft.... so back out so then at the edge and now everything is again hard as before the action of the stew.
Was clearly my mistake so strongly to water the substrate...
I try with relatively dry soil werds then simply again, hopefully I can control myself with my Pflege(=Gieß)wut.

rather than on the pot of the fragment, you could put it also on the substrate so that the crack is not moist.
Maybe you könnstest so that the piece dries up, the crack will not wet but prevent.
Then I would make for a lot of heat from below; do you have an aquarium with cover hire?

To prevent rotting in the abscission layer, you could use yet wood (active) kohlkepulver or cinnamon powder (fungicidal and bactericidal); interssant would certainly also a mixture of both.

The idea with the wax is really good. My two Am.krausei offshoot of Volker wanted me also away mess. Since I have summarily to bathed them in candle wax. The wax will work really well. have no soft body more, since I use the wax.

So, to complete the whole thing:
The broken bulb has now developed a very beautiful flower. I had sealed the tuber at the crack with a protective coating for tree wounds and then used. About 2 weeks after I started then to pour and behold, roots formed soon. The shoot, which was already present when I got the bulb, began to grow then and now the flower is gone a few days ago. Nose: Somewhere between Tilsiter cheese and old socks....
