Konjak-Knolle fault!!

Hello together

I discovered this morning to a place a Konjac tuber from the juice escapes. When I touched it with his finger burst on the skin and a muddy substance is out. I've cleaned up the place with a handkerchief, but juice is again left after an hour. This evening I noticed right next to it a further point that is quite muddy.
How can I stop this process of rotting? : help:

The bulb has a diameter of 15 cm and has magnificently blossomed. I have it in the dry at room temperature.

Hope for quick help!

Greetings Roland

Hi Roland,.
This is Yes not a nice occasion for the first message here in the Forum - still: welcome!

The muddy places should you up on healthy, light-filled tissue clean, so scrape away the mud or cutting. Then sprinkle with charcoal powder or cinnamon powder and hope that the land to dry and not continue faulen.
If vacancies are too large, it may also be that the tuber simply dries out.

Good luck, Bernhard.

Re: Konjak-Knolle fault!!

Hi Bernard,.

I have cut away the rotten authorities a few days ago and sprinkled with cinnamon powder. When they wanted to not dry in the House, I have put the tuber to outdoors in the shade. After the interfaces are dry well and stopped the rot. :D I hope it stays so au.

Do I need the bulb to the foliation of again cooler stelen's sheet or can I leave them in the living room?

Thank you for the good tip!

Greetings Roland

As Amorpho beginner I have winters my speeding tickets in the underground garage. I early March in the home have the big, so that the flower finally starts (today's is: schtinkt it!). One with just under 100 g I have given away and it was stored then warm, which is already working to bring the sheet; the rest in the underground car park make even a mux.
As a beginner would I give you the tip is to let the tuber in the heat so that she can cast out soon.

Wolfgang

Re: Konjak-Knolle fault!!

Hello

As it now looks the tuber has survived the worst. All interfaces are dry and it has become so far in any case, made no more foul point. Dry in the living room, I think the sick as well as a healthy 1 kg bulb. Yet none of the two with the sheet foliation will begin.
I absolutely have no experience with the Konjakkultur and my biggest question is when I want a pot it.
I have to wait until the page foliation begins or can I pot up already it?

Greetings Roland

Re: Konjak-Knolle fault!!

Hi Bernard,.

When two tubers can be seen since the beginning of flower growth of root tips. When the sick Corm they died off but still cremen-coloured on the other. In the leaf bud of the healthy tuber, the outer involucral dies down now, but I have a feeling that it is slowly increasing.
I hope that get started soon, I am very excited about the leaves grow as large.

Greetings Roland
