Welches Substrat?!?

Hello dear friends of Stinker!

Got the first big Stinkerei of my career behind me now:
My Typhonium has flourished, or better, it still is flourishing, stinks but not more.... (Thankfully!) : d

Now the question:
Since already the first roots come out, and the Blatttrieb starts to move, I am times assuming that I the next days times "will sink the good part"...
Only:
Which substrate would take you?
Dahab a hint of a botanist of the Manor gardens in Hannover, which means available:

4 Parts good compost or potting soil
2 Parts sand
1 Part perlite or Seramis

Would be really obvious, because that sure on the one hand is very permeable (since tubers of hald times like to rot if too wet is) and on the other hand still well saves water (perlite/Seramis)....

What are your experiences?

P.S.:
Was this also for my Amorphos?
Liebe Grüsse

Euer Schorsch

Re: Welches Substrat?!?

If you mean Typhonium venosum (of which I presume now), you need make you not work due to the substrate. Just sit in a large saucepan with fresh, high-quality potting soil and then vigorously pour and fertilize as soon as the first sheet is formed.
This type is really very unpretentious, I have observed as never rot although I tend to keep my plants generally slightly too moist.

The same also applies to robust Amorphos, such as konjac, albus, yunnanensis etc...
For the slightly more sensitive types as bulbifer, paeoniifolius, titanum, etc. most here recommend a mix of two-thirds of structure stability potting soil and a third of coarse perlite. This works quite well with me.

Re: Welches Substrat?!?

I not more thought man, the good old BayWa, at that!
Gibts the yet?
Then I know where tomorrow my path leads me OK!

What would take her for a grain size?
Because 0-6 mm is but bad small...
What are there still?
And:
Is as a difference between "Construction perlite" and I nenns times "Plants perlite"?

But thanks for the tip!
Liebe Grüsse

Re: Welches Substrat?!?

Hello Schorsch,.

about 2 years ago, there was the BayWa still...

The question of building perlite/Isoself (used as insulating material) or perlite/Agriperl/Perlogran is always ' again in various forums.
It was also here already extensively discussed - you look here:
<!-l--> < a class = "post link-local" href="http://www.amorphophallus-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=23 & t = 77" > viewtopic.php? f = 23 & t = 77 < /a > <!-l->
There are also links to the manufacturers; possibly, you but have rebuilt their websites so that you have to then delete the ends of URLs get no errors....

Happy reading, Bernhard.

Moin

I've had good experiences with good potting soil.
Which is cheaper at least as good as potting soil and if it evaluates them a bit.

0-6 mm is actually OK, underrated like the ventilation effect of Perlite. But the ideal grain size is 2-8 mm course.

Re: Welches Substrat?!?

Hello

so I personally shuffle in almost any soil still more or less perlite with inside. This makes from cheaper Earth;) directly good soil. When Typhonium, it is but not so important. Perlite is actually available at any hardware store, in any case in the building materials trade under various brand names. One has to look just a little bit and the packaging just study (it is only pure perlite!) (So no bitumisiertes stuff). You reach this also conveniently levels which is not as fast shipping can bauchen. Just not at eBay or plant shop order. You hit 200% to the purchase price partially - which must not be.

Greetings
Hagasus
