Rezept

Halo
I and my father had a conversation about Aronstäbe today, and suddenly we have cooking on the subject of Aronstab root. It sounds mainly brutal for all aroid friends but basically they are grown in many countries for food. Since my father asked me whether I looked after in the Internet but found nothing real to this topic.
Which consume the tubers were also a possibility to get rid of the handle-tubers. : lach dead:

Now my question is: If someone knows a recipe or has prepared itself ever? And if somebody one times to the food has tried as is the taste?
From where I bought my A. paeoniifolius, has briefly explains how one they make must me:
To switch the tuber, after you cut it into pieces and fried them. But that's also what I know.

Re: Rezept

Hi Ralf,.

because Araceenknollen barely eaten in German-speaking areas, you will find only recipes in English and Spanish/Portuguese....
Also, you should be aware that prepare for breeding not edited species can be difficult because for example oxalic acid must be removed by long cooking and probably change of boiling water.
The Suran/A. paeonifolius clones grown for consumption have been selected meineswissens to low levels of oxalic acid (and late flowering).

Here of a few links:

Re: Rezept

Hi Ralf,.

Anyone who has made in the Caribbean holidays, probably tried the Callaloo soup (I also).
There are two recipes; a green from the leaves and a white from the Corm (Colocasia).
Met not my taste.
Here an example:
"<!-m--> < a class href="http://www.ehow.com/how_4878429_grenadian-vegetarian-callaloo-soup.html = "post link" "> http://www.ehow.com/how_4878429_grenadi... - soup.html < /a > <!-m->

If we are even while eating; on EBay, someone has claimed that the Typhonium vensum tuber is eaten. I have Google a couple of times warm run, but found nothing. Does anyone know of a link? It would be however interesting to try, I have enough tubers.

Greeting Olvi
