Re: relativ groß
Oh yes, it was actually almost bad my mother, who wanted to look just shortly past with zeitlgleich two Typhonium had done to. : I personally find now but not sooo dramatic d the fragrance spectacle. The treats our dogs with the really good stuff in there box smells worse, if you mal ne while stand leaves them... and unlike the flowers does not only so, because the smell is so really seriously. : lach dead:
Re: relativ groß
congratulate!
I bloom now 3 pieces, she've given in the housetop.
am curious to know in how many your knolle share himself this year shares, there were beimir 5-piece with 1-2 kg.
LG edmund. ;-)

Re: relativ groß
Hi Luke,
Thank you for the nice documentation!
Na, 8 kg you can aufpäppeln the bulb yet again to 13 kg....
Happy feeding, Bernhard.
Re: relativ groß
Moin
I'll try them until fall to 18-20 kg [dreams:)]
to grow up. Let's see whether it will work out. Or da ne whether growth limit?

Re: relativ groß
Moin
she want to push out with several stems.
But what is the "normal" leaf foliation
The first is below most dropped off the flower stalk
and 2 other 2 cm apart from the large stalk

Re: relativ groß
Hello
for larger Konjacknollen, it is unfortunately often so that they share and expel several leaves. Namely have a similar "problem" with my large cellulose. Ca has 3Kg and has now about 6 thick Blatttriebe (with 3 t:)). It would be better here to cut off all but the strongest or should I give really this year 6 leaves from the Corm. What mein ye?
Greetings

Re: relativ groß
Hello
Yes, that seems to be typical well unfortunately the large tubers. Not only in konjac, the over 100 kg heavy titanum from Bonn, which has made if I remember correctly. I'd probably remove all "unnecessary" shoots and hope that is really only a sheet. Only so you have to get a chance at the end again a similar-sized tuber, then several smaller tubers form in several sheets.

Re: relativ groß
In the end, it makes but nothing out, where the large tuber shares, or? One has but at the end we say 5 times 2 kg tubers (is this realistic? or the shared tubers are still smaller?). But after a further period of growth, it has then yet again so great Brummer! Or I guess wrong?
Re: relativ groß
Hi oldi.
you're right.
me 2 tubers have shared is each with approx. 9 kg to 5 tubers with approx 2 kg, all have flourished

Re: relativ groß
Moin
Clearly that doesn't matter if a large tuber shares
but I want to see how high I mean konjac can work
and would not again at 2 kg start;)

Re: relativ groß
Okay, you think differently than me: d
But still a really big bulb is better than many small, of course, that's true;-)

Here my question with the image:
What is the "normal" leaf foliation? up or down?
Regards Luke
The question is already more than 10 years old, but should still be answered. The upper bud is usually the one from which the leaf comes. The lower one comes from one of several bud plants that are already visible in autumn during or after harvesting.
My largest konjac (only 3.4 kg harvest weight, after flowering weight not documented) has this year in addition to 2 swollen buds, which come out under the envelope leaves of the flower (usually from 5 only the one closest to the flower develops), also 2 swollen buds around it. Whether this gives several shoots, remains to be seen. With other species, I have experienced that this does not necessarily lead to several shoots. Were there several with your tuber?
I'm also not the big konjac professional, but this year there were also several more buds in addition to the main shoot in my two large tubers (weight after flowering around 3 kg) after 5 years of care.
Since I also do not want a division of the large tubers (I like the large leaves very much), I have removed these side shoots and let them dry.
I read this recommendation at the FB group. There, even after planting, side shoots that had come out of the substrate were removed.
But this is then associated with a greater risk of getting an infection in the tuber, I think...
Since I also do not want a division of the large tubers (I like the large leaves very much), I have removed these side shoots and let them dry.
Actually, I feel the same, but since I wanted to get the tubers into the ground, I refrained from removing superfluous buds. I didn't want to let them dry out for a few more days.
